Last year, I wrote a blog post titled., “Which Investing Demon are you killing this Dussehra?”
Today on this auspicious occasion of Dussehra, I am killing another demon.
My original post was inspired by Vishal Khandelwal of Safal Niveshak titled 10 Demons of Investing.
However, just like the original post, this post is not about those 10 demons.
Rather, I am going to talk about only one. But, unlike the last year’s post, this one is not an investing demon.

In January 2021, we started an educational platform, MissioN SMILE.
And from May 2022, we started inviting guests & veteran investors on our platform to share their journey and investing process/ideas.

We were suggested by many of our guests that we should keep the guest webinars free. However, I was adamant that as our SSS team work so hard in the background to make these webinars happen, we have all the right to ask for a small fee.
Anyways we were not charging a bomb. Just something worth a cup of coffee maybe.
It took me some time and reflection to understand what the experienced investors were suggesting to me.
But the defining moment for me was in our recent webinar on “Magic & Miseries of Microcap Investing.”
Our guest, Mr. Atul Raval, said something that got me thinking.
You may write a will to pass on your wealth. But you cannot write a will to pass on your knowledge. The knowledge can only be passed on like this. In a free webinar where there is no strings attached.
This particular statement brought a lot of clarity to my thoughts.
Yes, Smart Sync Services and the MissioN SMILE platform is the medium through which this knowledge sharing is happening. However, the guests and the audience deserve it to be free. So that more and more knowledge is being shared amongst all.
So finally, on this Dussehra, I am taking this demon out of my system.
And the demon is:
As we own the platform, we have the right to monetize each and every content.
When the teachers and the students are ready, the platform has no business except to make knowledge-sharing a seamless and enjoyable experience.
So yes, this Dussehra, I killed this demon.
